Breed Health and Conservation Plan (BHCP)
The Glen of Imaal Terrier BHCP was published in May 2022 and covers all health concerns for the breed.
The Breed Clubs' Codes of Ethics provide "best practice" guidance to breeders.
This section has information on the following breed health conditions and issues:
-
PRA crd3 - a heritable eye condition
-
PCDU - a complex heritable condition affecting the front legs
-
Popular sires - detrimental to the future wellbeing of the Glen
This section encourages prospective puppy owners to discuss the above health issues with breeders.
Please request your swab kit today and support the archive for the benefit of future generations of Glens. Thank you.
This section provides links to health survey reports and information about Glen research projects.
